This is the pattern for the "Green Outfit". It is an easy pattern and also works up fast. I use the same Bodice pattern for most designs. I call them dresses, but they can also be used as sweaters or demise gowns. They are whatever they are needed to be.
Lion Brand Yarn Baby Soft in green, and small amount of white, and white ribbon
Size G Crochet Hook
Bodice:
Row 1: Ch 32. 1 hdc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next 2 ch. *1 hdc, ch 1, 1 hdc in next ch, 1 hdc in next 6 ch,* Repeat two more times, hdc in last 4 ch. Turn
Row 2: Ch 2. 1 hdc in second st. Hdc in each st till ch 1 space. *Hdc, ch 1, hdc in ch 1 space, 1 hdc in each space* across.
Row 3 to 5: Repeat row 2, continuing to increase each row.
Row 6: 1 hdc in second st and each st to ch 1, *1 hdc in ch 1 space, ch 4 and skip to next ch 1 space, 1 hdc in ch 1 space*, hdc in each st for front to hdc space repeat * to *. Hdc in remaining stitches.
Row 7: Ch 3, 1 dc in next st, skip 1 st, *5 dc (shell) , in next st, skip next st* Repeat across ending with 2 dc.
Row 8: Ch 3, skip 1 st dc. Dc in next dc. *5 dc in 3rd dc of shell*. Repeat * to * across, end with dc in last two dc.
Repeat row 8 for 8 more rows or desired length. End off. Attach white yarn. Ch 1, sc in same stitch, sc in each dc till the corner. sc, ch 1, sc in corner. Sc up 1 side, do corner sc, 1 sc in each st around neckline, repeat corner sc and work sc down side. Join in 1st sc and end off.
Sleeves: Attach yarn under armhole, ch 3, work 20 dc for arm, join to top of ch 3. Repeat for a total of 4 rows. End off. Hide and cut all ends. Weave ribbon in 1st row and 6th row.
Hat:
Row 1: Ch 4 and join. Ch 3, 11 dc in center working over tail. Join to top of ch 3.12 dc.
Row 2: Ch 3, dc in same space, 2 dc in each st around. Join. 24 dc.
Row 3: Ch 3. Dc in same space, *1 dc in next 2 st, 2 dc in next st*. Join.
Row 4 to 8: Ch 3, dc, ch 1, 2 dc in same st, *skip 2 st, 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in next st* around. Join.
End off green, attach white. Ch 1, sc in each dc and ch 1 space around. End off. hide and cut ends.

A Thank You card arrived in today's mail from our local NICU. They were quite happy with the donation of blankets and the few hats I dropped off. They said the families loved the blankets. Boy, did that make me feel good! I'm glad I took on this project as we will be helping lots of babies and their families!....
